Faith

Morning Glory,

I asked you what topic you studied with your primary class at church yesterday. You replied that it was about faith (Alma 32). I thought about when we watched the Living Scriptures show about that chapter, when Alma teaches how planting a seed and waiting for it to grow is like planting faith in your heart and faith can grow as well. Faith must be nourished just as seeds must be watered and weeded.

Then I asked you what you learned that was new or how what you learned that applies to you right now. You pondered that question for a while, then you said, "Actually, I just kept thinking about the song 'Faith is like a little seed.'" I suggested you sing it for Savannah and make up some actions. I am sure it was the Holy Ghost who brought that song into your mind.

As I listened to you sing, I realized how the words teach a powerful message of faith and obedience and how those two doctrines work together. That goes right along with my goals for this month. I think we should add that song to our plan. Thanks for the inspiration. I love being your mom!

Love,

Mommy Tree
